I need a garage or mechanic to remove a pair of carbs and fit replacements and a manual choke cable.

Its Jag XJ6.

Any recommendations in Southampton? An old boy that knows what a carb is would be handy.

A little way outside of Southampton down in Hythe : http://www.ajcclassics.com/

They replaced a brake hardline on my old Alfa, seemed decent enough.

I forgot about Southways.

Called the people in Eastleigh, its a commercial vehicle body place, not a car restorer. Bit odd.

Try Rich @ Tremona Garage. Not sure about their expertise with Jaguar, but they are old school and can't fault their knowledge. Down on the Millbrook road

I use William Street Motors down by St Marys Stadium. They have quite a few classics in there and do a lot of sportscars. They did all the work on my TVRs.

Worth dropping them a line....

That might work, 200 yards from my office.

Thanks.

Is he still going ? Had him set up my RS2000 on twin carbs back in about '91 and I seem to remember him being in his 60's even then...
He did know his stuff though, the car was transformed afterwards
