May need a list out of courtesy to the landlord, if enough people are up for it, then he will need to cater and have appropriate staff available

Good point I'll pop by and just ask, although with our Lotus Anorak meetings we just change venues and turn up. The fact that there are only a dozen of us at most may have something to do with that though.
Let's be optimistic and say maybe 20 people will turn up on the 23rd it won't cause any more chaos than what is usually experienced.

OK I've left a message for the West Meon Hut manager about this Tuesday and I've invited a few of the Lotus Anoraks along too, the weathers looking good so hopefully see a few of you on Tuesday, just turn up and park where you like on a first come first served basis.

I would suggest picking a night in Early September and getting a separate thread up asap. That way plenty of people can see it and have the time to make sure they can be free.

Anyone can organise these kind of meets, just work with the pub so they know what to expect.

Good to see everyone tonight, I think it's fair to say it was more on the quality side than quantity.
Just a thought the car park at the West Meon Hut is way too small and the landlord appeared to have positioned a tractor to block the field entrance, it was then moved later so I was thinking that us Lotus Anoraks use the Seven Stars in Stroud so how about we meet there as there are far more parking places at that pub.

Agreed, was a good little meet. Yeah unless we can use the field in future then the car park is too small. Seven Stars sounds good - can probably get one more meet in before the evenings draw in. Is Tues 13th or Tues 27th Sep any good for anyone?

Tuesday 6th September works well for me, and seems a suitable date, or even Tuesday 30th August would suit.
Fingers crossed we don't dive into a cold snap!

That was a nice little meet last night, good to see you all, think a change of venue would be good, apart from the amount of potential parking, unfortunately the pub hasn't got much going for it now it's changed hands, the attitude of new owners needs a bit to be desired.

There was a pub not far from Meon with a massive car park. It's on route towards peterfield. I think it's on the A32
