Think that's it for this year now, shame as I'm just about to have a change of car, we could a a weekend daytime meet.
Several years ago, there used to be a Sunday Breakfast Club at The Meon Hut, how about resurrecting that then?

I would be up for that. There isn't enough car meets, as long as it isn't posing down I'm always up for a meet

That's not a bad idea, only thing the pub seems to have a few issues since the new people took over, not sure they would do breakfast or want us there. Maybe a different venue would be better, there must be somewhere nearby that would be interested.

Just a thought

There was an Italian morning meet at a café in Alton Recently, seemed to be well received by those attending , is that worth a shout for a brekie meet, meet thread here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Its on the Alton - Basingstoke road just outside Alton so easy to get to, on a road that's good for driving & has loads of parking if a lot coming but it may need to be agreed with them before

Website here http://www.thedepartureloungecafe.co.uk/

They hold a classic meet first Sunday of each month so you would need to avoid that , for me second Sunday is always Bristol so 3rd or fourth would be good

They don't open until 10 on Sunday but that's enough time for a decent drive up

Good call, ideal location I think
Just come to mind, we've held a meet at Alverstoke before, plenty of parking, nice location, and good grub

I attended that meet and the breakfast was superb!!!

The field is huge but I believe they need some notice, they'll also reserve a long table if you give numbers.

Loomies will also do a car meet if arranged. I know it's not a big car park so will have to see how many people would actually attend

The problem with loomies is it's always full with bikers any day of the week.

Can't believe you sold it, somebody got a great car there! Anything nice lined up next?

I'd also be well up for this - Alton isn't too far and the roads are great over that way.

Ok all

See what interest there is in the next few days, also if you could say if generally 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month is preferred we can get a better idea of whether Alton is worth pursuing as a regular meet & start another thread . OBVIOUSLY all subject to it being OK with the venue but it will be better to get an idea of likelihood / numbers before approaching them

Pick a date, bang up a thread, link to it in here and make sure it's clear it's a provisional date until cleared with the venue but you're looking for numbers.

Without a fixed date people will be unlikely to put their name down.

Unless there's a clash with anything I'm 100% in as the wife has Roller Derby training on Sundays so I always have a free pass to go and play. The only exception in the next month or so is Remembrance Weekend when I'll be racing at Anglesey.

I may come over and have a nose around, not even 10 minutes away. Nothing of value on my part though.

Sadly Sunday's I sail, but hopefully this gets established as in the summer I'm free. Also make sure it doesnt clash with the PH Sunday service, Goodwood and Wilton house.
