Want to hire something nice for a UK holiday

OK, so we fancy hiring something nice for a UK holiday, maybe something along the lines of an F Pace, Disco, RR etc. 4x4 as we'll be taking in all sorts of terrain. I don't drive anything like this so I quite like the idea of driving something completely different for a week.
Does anybody have any recommendations as to where to hire from? I found an F Pace with Thrifty but they couldn't tell me what engine it would have. I don't want anything too puny, this is supposed to be a fun part of our holiday.

Have used Avis Prestige before. Collect from Gatwick as the charge to get them delivered elsewhere is quite a lot.
