Hi all,

I used to have a mobile tyre fitter who no longer does that business, so am looking for any recommendations for someone who covers the Gosport/Portsmouth areas? I live in Gosport and work in Portsmouth, so am able to have the car in either area they cover.

Thanks!

We use 'Dial a tyre' who are Gosport/Fareham based.

Thanks! Just phoned them to book a day and they said they'd rather not risk the potential scratch that could be put on the diamond cut wheel as it would cost them more to repair than the low cost for the tyre swap.

Bit of a bummer, but I guess the hunt continues :/

Not surprised as that is the level of honesty I would expect from them.

So for your diamond cuts I would go to the 'Wheel Specialist' 16, The Io Centre, Stephenson Rd, Fareham PO15 5RU
Being as they do diamond cutting they will know all about re-fitting the tyres.
Also Highly recommended by us.

Aye I have dial a tyre saved for future use on standard wheel cars tongue out

I've since booked the tyre swap via etyres, bit dearer but they said they regularly do Porsches and other marques with diamondcut wheels and it's no problem for them. My last mobile guy was from etyres who did jobs for me on his own time so at least I'm certain they can do it, shame it's at extra cost now though.

I've used Wheel Specialist once before and they re-cut a wheel too far and gave it to me a "complete", so I'm not 100% confident in their abilities, what and they charge £175 for dc refurbs!!! I have driven to First Aid Wheels in London, had mins done and driven back for a lower total cost!

Robbie, Dial-a-tyre are opposite my unit and I use them for swapping wheels and tyres all the time.
Ask for DAN or Darren as they understand my/your way of thinking ad know what an anorak I am!

Ah excellent hank you Tim. I will actually be needing 2x new fronts fitted after the trackday coming up this month so will be sure to give them a ring.
