It's only 45 mins at the speed limit from mine plus the weather is supposed to stay okay now until next week.

Anyone going? Anyone been before?

Forecast doesn't look great (or atleast the iphone weather app says that).

I've been a few times over the last few years - last year I managed to get my fiancé to go out in a sorted Lotus Exige for a few fast laps.

Its for charity so for a donation you can ask any of the drivers whether they will take you out and can borrow a lid from Goodwood as well - all pretty good fun and some of the cars you could possibly get a go in are beyond special.

It has got quite a lot more popular in recent years and sadly there were a number of idiots who turned up showing off, but I believe Goodwood will be on top of that this year.

All in all a pretty good day out and you will see cars there you wont often seen else where...

If the weather holds ill be there, probably in the daily since the weather looks touch and go.

Have fun...

You need to get there very early if last years cluster fk is anything to go by. There's a 60 car convoy turning up during the morning so expect carnage. Last year they had to close access to the circuit due to all the cars. You also had lots of kids with go pros being delivered by their mums.

I'll be there but from early on.

I've just been reading your account from the last one! Loads of "Shmee" followers and the like everywhere. I also saw about the convoy that has been arranged.

I'm heading down on my own and had planned to arrive at about 8:30, in a hopeful effort to beat the masses. I may even leave a bit earlier now though!

Will keep an eye out for your 595

I might pop over during the day if the weather is ok.
Where is general public parking, is it in the field opposite like a breakfast club meeting ?

Not 100% sure. Last breakfast meet I went to was on my bike and we parked in the brown car park I think. I expect it will be signposted once you get on to either Claypit lane or New road

We came down for last years (been to quite a few over the years) and totally agree with your comments above. I'm kind of hoping Goodwood will direct the convoy into the "Tescos" car park or something as adding 60+ cars into the paddocks mid-morning, with the track day in progress, isn't going to work any better than it did last time (even without the YouTubers).

I'll be down early, unless I fail to get up... smile

Got there at 9:50 drove straight in and parked up, no issues. However my 4yr old wasn't too happy about going so just had time to see a couple of cars go past the pit straight and get a pic of my fave car (with a bit happy Alfie).

Nowhere near as bad as last year although I'm surprised a lot of the YouTube crew weren't watching what was on track but waiting around for cars to leave/arrive.

Here's some images from me:

Then I need to venture into video editing. I generally upload my goodwood photos in between each session via camera to iPad to online. rofl

Well they got what they wanted: I see there is a video of a 488 nearly wiping out a car on the main road doing the rounds on Facebook!

Great set of pictures escrobin. Couldn't make it myself, so nice to see what I missed!

Agreed, looked like he shifted to 2nd and gave it a heavy dose of the loud pedal!

Cold tyres + poor road surface + low road temp = squeaky bum time!
