Hi All-I am in Hertfordshire,Essendon and am in need of secure storage for two cars for up to a year. Have tried classic storage in Welwyn but full. Any Ideas? My insurers want modern, alarmed etc. Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks Ian-very good Company I know but a little too far. Not sure about the secret location, may be a little like Luton airport, meet and greet and car goes to field. Insurance will insist on details to continue for the period.

Try putting a post in your regional section of PH, there may be someone local to you with either knowledge or facilities to help out.

Do you need access ot them at this time, or just to put them into storage for a year?
If just storage, is distance an issue?

Very far out of the way (North east scotland) but depending on costs involved I'd recommend GTS: https://gtsltd.co.uk/

Owner is an avid petrolhead and knows his stuff. could help with transport. I realise it's totally wrong end of the country though biggrin

Try one of the storage firms.

I had one of mine along with all the parts and my tools in Big Yellow, while we moved. They only had a few 'garage' type lock-ups and they're expensive, even with the introductory discount, but likely to exceed to security expectations of your insurer. Probably not to the tune of a reduced premium but I can't see how it'd be more.

Cheers, Jim

I've used Autostore near Cambridge before and they are pretty good.

A couple of years ago I nearly bought a Cerbera from the guys at Bespoke in Ware.

When I mentioned one problem was a lack of garage space (as I'd be keeping the current fleet) they mentioned they could (and do) do storage. No idea what/where etc.

Try Herts Autotek 01438 829000 Nup End Knebworth
Not strictly a car storage place but he has some classics stored for people in one of his units and it's secure

I would second Autostore. Great secure set up and a nice bunch of guys. Have servicing facilities as well.

Another recommendation for Autostore. I've been using them for about 14 years for storage (one of my cars is in there now) and since the new premises opened I've been using the workshop too; a couple of the fleet have been round there this week.

Konig are well regarded. I've not stored with them but I did use their transport service to move my Aston once and seemed very professional. Storage not cheap with them though.
