......pick up a pair of seats for me?

I bought some red leather seats for an MR2 Roadster that I'm rebuilding from an Ebay seller in Eastleigh.

As I'm in Aberdeenshire it's a bit far to go to pick them up. I can courier them but the seller is away working during the week so it would be really handy if anybody could pick them up for me and I'll send a courier to get them from you. Plus I can send you loads of bubblewrap to wrap them in.

I know it's a big favour to ask but - hey! - it's always worth asking.

A big ask for a first time poster

Did it have collection only on the seats? My friend has just been stitched by a buyer who despite winning an auction saying collection only the buyer wants him to courier the item!

Yeah you're right - big ask for a first time poster. I've tried on the MR2 Roadster Forums without any joy so far so thought I'd try my luck on here. I'll also try on the Saab and 75/ZT forums where I'm better known. Thing is, you randomly meet some very helpful people on the web so thought I'd ask.

I've gone to look at cars for sale on behalf of total strangers and picked up/posted the odd bit for people or sent things free to various members of forums I've been on so hopefully what goes around, comes around.

The item did specify collection only - which is fair enough for seats. Lots of sellers are happy to let you send a courier to pick up from them if you organise it but, as I said, this guy isn't around to do that. The perils of living in Aberdeenshire where most things you want are a long way away.....

I'm not stitching up the seller. I paid straight away and if I can't get anyone to pick them up he can relist them and keep the money.
