Just bought a Cayenne Turbo for my wife and want to keep it looking decent but I'm a bit short on time at the moment as I'm building a big garage.

Where is the best place to take it to for a wash? I don't need somewhere overly special, just somewhere that is not going to rub grit into the black paintwork or kill it with a pressure washer. I have used the hand car cash on Woodbridge road a few times but perhaps want somewhere that will take just a little bit more care with it.

A video on You Tube shew that car washes like the one on Wherstead Road cause less damage than the polish boys or the garage pressure washers. It is quite gentle with long felt strips just randomly swishing over your car as opposed to the old style nylon brushes revolving at 100 mph.

there is no way you can sacrifice a lovely car like that to a PAYG car wash! you'll shag the paintwork. you'r better off getting a full detail and wax protection and only washing it twice a year!

I use the drive throughs at whersted road and tesco stowmarket for a quick wash freshen up. Good layer of wax by hand every now and again and the car looks great.

I do not let anyone spray traffic film remover on the paint work or harsh chemicals as it strips off the wax.

I cant see how any one only washs car twice a year unless its a landrover of course

to be fair, i tend to get clay bar and wax done 3 times a year with mere hose washes in-between.
