A couple of weeks back had a 55 plate Silver Scoop STI complete with monster exhaust fly past me on the A31 approaching Ringwood, very well hidden lights, would never have seen them if they hadn't been on.

In comparison the Octavias are an easy spot...

I got baited by a "silver C class" a couple of weeks ago. Eventually he overtook me and pulled some other poor sod over.

Suppose if you're going to get done by a stealth then it's better that it's worthy of the job.

Surely even your Ultima can outrun it?

what would be perfect is a straight 0-70 challenge from some dual carraigeway traffic lights. All within limits, and the perfect way to legally waste an unmarked BIB car.

They'll always think of something Peter. Probably classed as dangerous driving due to the brutishness of acceleration or something

PS Are you coming on the A23 Blatt on Thursday?

PPS Why doesnt PH like quoting your name Peter?

unmarked RS4

I saw that 'Unmarked RS4' at the Southampton Audi dealer yesterday and was told it belongs to a Doctor and not the bib. Apparently he retro fitted the lights himself after being told by Audi that they would invalidate his warrenty if he did it......... Had to laugh as it's now gone wrong and Audi aren't being very helpfull.
Would be interested in knowing (probably from Mungo) if he is legally allowed to retro fit lights?? (He has them beind the front grill and along the rear shelf and by all accounts it looks an unmarked bib) Fair enough he's a Doctor but he carries no legal status.
Excuse the photo, it's from my phone

Hello all, just to put you in the picture. I am a paramedic and work for Hampshire Ambulance, the RS4 (which i have driven) is owned by a Doctor and he uses it to respond to 999 calls when asked to do so by us, the car is fully legal and the Dr is fully trained to respond with blue lights and sirens. The lights etc were not fitted by him (he would know what to do!) but by a company who fit covert lighting for emergency services. He loves his cars, before the RS4 he had a Range Rover sport (which i drove) and before that RS6 avant which i didnt.
Hope this clears up some confusion.
Regards
Tom

i saw a grey 04 reg evo blatting down the A23 yesterday afternoon, it then U-turned the roundabout at the A23/A27 junction & buggered off northwards. would appear they are scared of the wet, went round the roundabout slower than i'd cycle it! yes they did have the xmas lights on, must have been a special on donuts somewhere?

The Evo was attending an accident on the A27 just west of the Hollingbury on-slip the other day aswell. Haven't seen any of the Volvos or the Omega recently, maybe they've gone.

Not Unmarked BiB as such, more of a 'heads up'

For those who use the A23 regularly, the BiB have started using the hidden 'ramp' on the northbound carriageway between the Pyecombe Bends and Hickstead (the nice long straight bit?) for sneaky hand held camera action. See them a couple of mornings a week at the moment.

You have been warned!

Noticed today that Sussex police have an unmarked Audi saloon, no idea of exact model, reg don't know the last bit. It was doing sentry duty at the M23/Gatwick slip, together with the unmarked Merc estate.

Al.

Sorry Al, no vehical reg's please.

We should'nt be breaking the law anyway!
