tCan't comment on the grey hatch though I did see a Hyundai hatch (i30??) with Enterprise logo on the boot behind a chavved fiesta on Brighton seafront. Appeared as though it had pulled the fiesta and there was a pair of coppers driving it. Very unusual.
Can anyone comment on if the police are using cars masquerading as hired vehicles or using hired vehicles themselves?

I used to work for Richmond Hyundai in Farlington near Portsmouth, and Chichester police are certainly using unmarked Hyundai I30's, as well as jam sandwich Hyundai's as well, they have got quite a few, I know that Hampshire police are using older 04-05 cars around Southampton too, very discreet Ford Galaxy, as well as a van I do believe, theres also a dark blue Ford Fiesta in and around Portsmouth as well. They really are getting very sneaky, although speaking to a friend who's a serving police officer, the general opinion of Hampshire traffic, even amongst there own is pretty poor. They are still using Skoda Octavias, although they manage to make those stick out like a sore thumb, hence the reason for getting sneakier!

I used to work for Enterprise, they supply many forces with hire cars. Quite how you'd pull a vehicle over in a rental however...Can anyone comment on if the police are using cars masquerading as hired vehicles or using hired vehicles themselves?

That's what I thought strange. The car didn't have any lights on when I saw it though it was already stopped. I had wondered if they fitted an Enterprise badge to trick people?
2, both dark blue/black, on M25.
First one on Friday just gone on the other side of carriageway from me, hidden blue lights flashing as it sped towards and then past me. To quick for me to get a make or model fix though.
Seconf one on Sunday on the M25 came up behind me at a rapid pace flashing me to get out of the way. I thought "right, I'll get a make and model this time" but as I pulled across some dipstick next to me beeped the horn and I got er....distracted...give him the bird
Would love to know when they started using this vehicle type. I now temper my anger at drivers of people carriers

Black 3 series on the M3 southbound around basingstoke, didnt catch the plate but it didnt have any badges on it showing which engine it was, it had pulled over something like an s-line A4 avant (might have been an A6 but the road conditions were pretty bad so didn't take to much notice)
GunMetal SIlver Skoda Fabia on the M27 this morning, came of at Fareham, Only noticed it as i was overtaking it and saw the big bank of LED lights in the back window.
It was involved in a big operation of around 9 Police cars that did a box manouver on a white tranit van this morning on M27 Westbound. dont know what it was about though
