However, budget cuts mean low performance for these heavily laden, economy based BMW's. If they can't safely keep up then they won't attempt it. Heard that from a force officer.daydotz said:

Attempt what? The F11 530d and F30 330d are more than capable of keeping up with most things on the road. Plus, it's not only about the vehicle keeping up, it's about the Police driver, tactics and the coordination of other units that normally resolve pursuits. Unless the retard being pursued ends it themselves when they crash. another spot for an unmarked car with reg starting SV64 - this one was SV64 BJJ
Was near Basingstoke around 6:20 tonight and had pulled a car over. As I had my dashcam on didnt pay much attention to the make/model. Only to then get home to find my camera was not plugged in

I saw that one too yesterday. He'd pulled someone over on the M3 between j7 & j6. BMW 3 series iirc. Was near Basingstoke around 6:20 tonight and had pulled a car over. As I had my dashcam on didnt pay much attention to the make/model. Only to then get home to find my camera was not plugged in

Well just for a change I spotted the usual unmarked bmw as posted above, again near Basingstoke only difference is this time it was on the Southampton bound carriageway instead of London bound.
Had pulled over a white mercedes around 6pm - unusually was in front of the merc so maybe they had been up his backside - if so that must have been quite a shock when they lit their blues up!

Ok just the 3 unmarked cars today lol!
On the M27, first of all a silver BMW 3 series reg FY14 HNU which had pulled someone over
Then a black 3 series reg RO63 PCY flew past me all lit up
Finally an odd one at Fleet services on the M3(unless I have got the numberplate wrong) PK53 KBY a silver estate possibly a subaru legacy or similar. All lit up at the exit to the services.
I guess the bib never work in the mornings though as every single spot of an unmarked car has been in the evening.
Edited as just spotted that the black one was the one featured in the article posted already... http://superunleaded.com/spot-one-latest-unmarked-...

Been a couple of days without a spot. But then like buses there are none around and then 2 appear.
5:40 tonight on the southbound carriageway there was a small prang where a Jag had gone in the back of another car.
Cue response from 2 unmarked BMW 3's
Never speed when there is a BMW in your mirrors. Whatever happened to the unmarked Skoda Octavias?
5:40 tonight on the southbound carriageway there was a small prang where a Jag had gone in the back of another car.

Thanks for the heads up on this although I keep an eye out for unmarked cars. On the evening of the Pub Quiz last Sunday I was heading out over the Motorway roundabout by Morrisons to join the A3M and low and behold right behind me was a dark grey BMW 3 series I could make out two small square lights behind the front grills as the sun was low they were obvious. So keeping strictly to 50 I indicated and joined the motorway at a steady 60.5:40 tonight on the southbound carriageway there was a small prang where a Jag had gone in the back of another car.

Unmarked BMW (FY14 HNU) southbound M3 near Eastleigh @ 8:10 this morning. Attending 3 cars and a van crash which looked like the slightest of shunts that then added an extra 45 minutes to my journey
Well done bib for clearing it all off the carriageway thanks. This image and the previous one from my new in car cam - Transcend 200 which is a great bit of kit

I've seen the black FY14 HNU twice in a week. First time it was sat on the Police ramp, M3 southbound J11. Tucked right back, very hard to notice at first. Second time I saw it, it had pulled someone M3 northbound between J13 and J12. Both times were around 5-6pm weekdays.Well done bib for clearing it all off the carriageway thanks.
