I assume they're (the wheels) are Team Dynamics then?Any more details, they look really nice!
Shame you have to sell it though
Originally bought a set with R888s on for trackdays, then a second hand set came up with another set of R888s on only sued once in the rain for £500 so bought them, stored the S Spokes and whacked them on with TR-1s.
Really dont want to sell it but its proving hard to justify only driving it a couple of time a month and the odd trackday, what with the new house that needs a kitchen, bathroom and all new radiators.
Just got the cmaber plates, and rear arms on and had it set up to. Very chuckuable now. I'mm going to try and sneak one more trackday in before the Wife prices everything up
Lots of other bits done but won't list them here unless poeple want to know.
Not sure whether to strip it back to standard to sell it or leave it as it is...

Looks like quite a nice car, although I'd prefer a 182 Originally bought a set with R888s on for trackdays, then a second hand set came up with another set of R888s on only sued once in the rain for £500 so bought them, stored the S Spokes and whacked them on with TR-1s.

Has it had a lot of work done?
I can't work out if a set of those wheels would look chavy on my car, they do look really nice though. I'm talking my dad into having the wheels on his 7 either powder-coated or painted gloss black, they look fantastic!
Oh and do you have two sets of wheels then?

I do have 2 sets (plus the S spokes), when it goes I'm looking to get a Seven style kit car next - should have about £7000 left and will save up whatever it takes to get a reasonable Westy or similar I hope. Be nice to be able to keep them as they are light, but 17s will be horrid on a seven I suspect.
It's had a new larger GRS intercooler, the 210 upgrade, a GTT manifold and decat, coilovers, camber plates and adjustable rear arms, strut braces, braided hoses, grooved discs and 5.1 fluid, and I've got a bucket and harness that goes in for trackdays as I'm a skinny runt and slide about otherwise! I've got a lightened and oversize crank pulley but haven't got it on yet - looks like I won't now anyway Can't think of anything else! I wasn't worried about getting loads more power - jsut improving on the already great handling. Its one of the Cooper Challenge drivers fault - he let me drive his at Goodwood and the difference in the handling was incredible - much more neutral, less lift off oversteer.
Next job was going to be getting an LSD but hey ho.

Might have to have a look into a set of those wheels, but I do think I'd look like a chav!
i don't think your clio would look too chavy with those weels and besides it only gets chavvy when you put thwem on for all show and no go (i.e in 19" chrome form). Although on a personal level a nice set of Clio 172 Cup speedlines would look mint!minimatt1967 said:

I like the idea of 19" chromes for it, that sounds well bad.....

Is it like a magic eye thing?
It'd better not be, otherwise I'll feel distinctly retarded! Sounds much too much like hard work I'd rather not see the bloody thing
not refering to the car merely the magic eye affair no offence intended

Oh yeah, I definitely think that sounds like too much like hard work!Sounds much too much like hard work I'd rather not see the bloody thing

And again, no offence meant to your car!

Steady on chap I thought you were saving up from your 19" badboy-for-life chrome rims and your burbary seat covers
Well I did think about it, but I just popped into Halfrauds at the weekend and bought some stick on air vents and liberally chucked those at the car, so I can't make up my mind whether the wheels will make it look chavvy! Gassing Station | South Coast | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
