Seeing as there seems to be so many of us around the Winchester area- who is up for a little meet up? I'm thinking maybe meet in the town centre and go for a little run out to a country pub with a big car park- maybe along the 272 or Stockbridge area.

Are evenings or weekends better? I am off work the next few weeks so was thinking one evening w/c the 4th August?

Can do evenings but not w/e's unfortunately. Would have to borrow my dads car too, the Eunos has become too much of an embarrasment of late.

Week night better for me as well.

I would still like to suggest the Flower Pots at Cheriton just off the A272, great little Pub & a Landlord who likes cars http://www.greatbeer.co.uk/hamflpo.htm

He's got a 911 Turbo doesn't he? Seem to remember it had Beer in the number plate somehow... but i had cycled there on that occasion and was quite drunk at the time... so it might have been my imangination!

I'm up for it. Also you can get takeout from there to drink at home when the car is parked nice and safe. He has a 997 Turbo in Azure Blue, has gradually got better from a raft of 996 C4S's. Have had car banter with him many times. His plate is A18 EER, A1 Beer nice one!! Evening is better as I am off to Bedford on Saturday 9th for an Easytack day.

Well I'm game if it's not the 5th or the 6th (i.e. Tuesday or Wednesday)on the 5th I have the work summer chricket match, and the 6th is my birthday. I'm not sure the police would take too kindly to me driving that evening...

How does Monday the 4th sound to everyone then? Meet in Winchester and have a little convoy out to Flowerpots?

Darren Thats OK to me. How about meeting at Tescos, M3 J9, its easy & accesible for anyone not local to Winchester to find & theres a Shell garage opposite for a drop of the decent stuff.

Monday 4th in Tescos Sounds good to me. Say 8ish, so I can get the Kids to bed? Bit of backroad through Morestread, to Corhampton then up A32 to A272 then to Cheriton, action!

Sounds excellent to me...

Although be carefull up the long straight on morestead road, just after you get past the 40 in Morestead... they have been seen speed checking there a couple of times recently (On the crossroads with Owlesbury to the right and the road towards the A272 on the left.)

The suggested route in map form: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&ge...

James, that is the exact route I was thinking, a fantastic loop, could do it a couple of times if people wanted to hoon more than drink coke in the pub! Cheers for the heads up, I have been known to be going bloody fast coming into that 40 zone, as you can imagine.

Google reckons "21.6 mi – about 38 mins" I reckon we can 1/2 that...maybe!
