Well, if you fellas out West can have the Hampshire Ring, I don't see a problem with this do you?
DATE 14.9.08
TIME 0645 for 0700 departure
MEETING POINT Shoreham Airport main building
THINGS TO BRING Chocolate bar ( imperative that you keep your blood sugar level up, don't want anyone falling asleep behind the wheel nono ) pen and paper ( may come in handy if you forget to bring a camera so that you can do some sketching biggrin: ) and last but not least some spare pants ( these can double up as something to wipe oily hands on if not used in an emergency yes ). That is all,... for now.

About time bud! Things where looking grim in sunny Sussex

I’m up for it this weekend or even the bank holiday Monday, I will be at home on Wednesday so could look at sorting out a route with you.

^ Nice one Nicksy, if I can't make it, start without me wink
I for one can't do this W/E and I should think that quite a few have plans for the B/H but how about mid September, say, 14th?
If you can make that date tick the list, we WILL have a route planned by then, HONEST yes

see ya

One of ours for one of yours, sounds fair hehe
Be good to have you along John, it's shaping up to be the 14.9.08; I would like to meet up at 0600 hrs but I can't see that sitting too well with most others can you?

It is pretty early I agree. Maybe a shade later, makes sense to be up & about early, but nothing too insane laugh

How about meet @ 0645 to depart @ 0700?
I have been looking @ trying to sort out a route but it is not easy. A few years ago there was a route about 100 mls long that I used to do on a motorbike but I am not sure that same route would be conducive in a car.
I was thinking maybe we could start @ Lewes and head of for Heathfield on the B roads but that is a s far as I have got so far. It would be good if we could end up somewhere and get some chop @ the end of it all too yes
Once a route has been sorted I will go and do a recce maybe along with Nicksy, ( he only lives a stones throw away ), makes sense although on the day I may well take a navigator to help out.
It's funny, but when you see threads for 'The Kent Run' and the 'Dash to the Coast' etc. you don't appreciate what goes on behind the scenes but I guess that is the downside to making things happen.
I must go, someone has just thrown a stone at my house, I think it's Nicksy byebye

Would love to join in chaps but currently I am without a car (and a job frown )

But what I don't get is why these runs are run so early, surely the best thing to do is go for a blast in late afternoon/evening?
