Would love to join in chaps but currently I am without a car (and a job )
But what I don't get is why these runs are run so early, surely the best thing to do is go for a blast in late afternoon/evening?
No Dawdlers, clear roads, not a soul around = Chance to have some proper fun But what I don't get is why these runs are run so early, surely the best thing to do is go for a blast in late afternoon/evening?
Also, could tag along? Where abouts are you in Sussex?

Right peeps, Nicksy and I went out and did a rece earlier today and I think we have pretty much outlined a decent route. I wanted to stay within the Sussex boarding but straying into Kent periodically was necessary for a decent layout and as Nicksy pointed out, it's always handy to have somewhere to relieve ones self in case of emergency
We decided that Shoreham Airport would be as a good a place as any to end up and we can park and get some chop in the Cafe there ( there will more than likely be some bikers there so bring your nuckle dusters )
To make this a proper 'Schleife' we will need to start/finish at the same place so Shoreham Airport out side the main building is looking keen
We will be doing the route again over the weekend and need to sort out a bit round East Grinstead but then it will be all systems go. For those who would like them, Nicksy will be sorting out some kind of map/directions but if we are all mindfull of those behind us, it should not be necessary.

Been on a few of these runs and despite all efforts you do get split up, traffic lights, roundabouts etc.Maps and full instructions plus TomTom files are pretty much a must have.
Contact Jay who does the Kent run and get a copy of his so you can see what goes into it.

Ooo really?!Considering I'm up in East.G maybe I can help? Specifically if you're coming up from Haywards Heath way?
Put it this way, long smooth straights, lovely open constant-radius corners and very tight bumpy corners. Oh and it's all NSL!
I have never been overtaken down there!

Only because you're a hooligan! Cracking bit of road that is, although I lied, the bit between Cowfold and Plummers Plain is only NSL for two short stretches, but between Plummers Plain and Turners hill is NSL
Oh and the BM place is Munich Legends, I've been for a poke around there several times (even if I don't want drug dealer's wheels! )

We have even taken some lovely pictures of the junctions!! (for those that can't read directions) This is a FIRST CLASS operation As GTWayne said we do have a few areas to iron out over the next week.

Fair point Steve but A/ It's not like there is going to be THAT many of us and B/ That is the reason for having a start/finish point that is the same; If by chance we do lose anyone, they only have to make their way back to the above, SIMPLE! ( no, not you Steve, the plan ).ironictwist said:

Thank you kindly 'i..t' but two of us trying to achieve one common goal, ( this almost sounds like PH's o'clock ), is difficult enough so we will abstain on this occasion although we can chat about amendments over breakfast after the run if you like as nothing is set in stone and constructive suggestions are always welcome Please do not feel that we are shunning you and do not appreciate your offer but,... shucks,... we have not even met you yet and you may not even like us! Perish the thought but stranger things have happened.
Well im still up for it guys, if were meeting and finishing at shoreham airport cafe has anyone cleared it with them or are they generally ok with this sort of thing?
(I know the speed bumps arnt to friendly there as well its something to consider)
I'll try and drum up some more takers

Although I am deeply hurt you don't remember me, especially seeing as we have met It's ok, I do like you in a purely "You're alright mate" sense, nothing more of course. So I wouldn't start getting any ideas Nicksy!

Dont worry about it Wayne, too many cooks can spoil the broth after all
Tis true...2 things 'foul up' a decent mornings car-meet hooning:
1. Too many cars
2. Leaving too late in the morning, so...
...when you add 1 & 2 together, Too many cars that are Leaving too late in the morning = a trundle around sussex at 20 mph waiting for others to catch up/rejoin etc whilst being delayed behind lorrys, vans, Sunday drivers et all.
My advice: point 2 above is the real pleasure-killer as you can get some quick bursts in on an empty road in the early morning and you'll all come back together at the next give-way or lights. You can, however, do nothing about the other traffic once its late enough in the morning.
Small groups very early is the ideal but if not then larger groups very early is 2nd favourite.
Trust me on this - we do it every month.
ETA Of course I could be wrong and a 'trundle' is all you're after...but I was anticipating that you'd like to exercise the muscles in your right foot somewhat...
So the key is: Decide what type of 'hoon' you're after before making off or some people will still be donning their googles and adjusting their biggles hat whilst others have speed off up the dual carriageway!
