I might.

At the moment the Healey is on axle stands waiting for me to finish the brakes, but if I get that done tomorrow and the weather is OK on Sunday I will come down for the start - I'm in Brighton so it's nearby.

That has some horrific speed bumps down there - will all the cars have sufficient clearance..?

Still annoyed I'm not going to be able to make it, I'd have liked to meet you all and put some faces to usernames. If I'm not utterly bladdered on the Sunday, I'll see how it goes. Don't hold your breath though. laugh

If it's that bad, you could meet at the Sussex Pad opposite the entrance to Shoreham Airport on the north side of the A27, or alternatively in the large layby where the weighbridge is (and Chris has his burger van that does THE best egg, sausage and bacon baguette)..

As you were Fellas, just been out and checked the speed bumps in my 48" from the floor Z4MC and clearance is NOT an issue.

My mechanics been trying to get it going from last week, it's literally 1 small thing away from firing up at the mo but something stupidly simple isn't allowing it to fire up frown ffs, pissing me right off.

Can't come down in the Astra either as the CV joint is on it's way out, I'd wager it will go pop mid hoon if I used it.

Not a happy bunny...At all!! furious Puts me going down to London for a bit of supercar spotting in doubt too :/

& SimonF8 shan't be making it either. I was hoping to tag along with him & be the snapper for the day but his engines just gone pop 10minutes ago.

Jinxed.

(I appreciate that I might be being stupid pointing this out as GTWayne might have deliberately chosen the name because of this, and everyone but me might be in on the joke already, but)... SussexSchleife does sound remarkably like trying to say Sussex Life* when you've had a few!

Anyway, if the weather is OK I plan to pop over to Shoreham in the morning as I've finished the brakes but not the roof which is part way through revision 1. Body work is still in revision 0. (That'll make sense when you see it!)

  • Posh magazine for Sussex people, only ever seen in doctors/dentists waiting rooms probably not read by PHers.
Equally PH probably not read by Sussex Lifers!

As ironic said, my dizzy went bang today, which is actually ok as i thought it was either clutch or cambelt. Annoying to say the least, spending this sunny Saturday on the side of the A27. frown

Enjoy tomorrow. smile

I don't think I'm going to be up in time for the run, chaps. I'll set an alarm, but if I sleep through it then that's what happens..! laugh

If I don't make it, have a great run out this morning.

Bah. Woke up @ 7 by my alarm (Despite setting it for 6), saw the time, thought "Oh ffs" then rolled over back to sleep.

Hope it was a good one? The weather looks spot on outside for a good early morning hoon!
