there are a few good, wide open but straight roads west of Winchester i'd like to get back on and the A33's unused . . .

Ok been doing some thinking. After a quality drive back with Neil and Hobzy from Goodwood on Sunday, i have a plan for a route.

Start in Wickham Square again. Up the A32 to the A272 crossroads and then go right towards to Petersfield [any of the Winchester guys could just meet there]. Then from Peterfield work our way through the Harting down route to Goodwood where we can stop at the airfield cafe for some food. Then back on the backroads through Funtington, Westbourne etc to Havant where we can go over Portsdown Hill back to Wickham.

Not a bad idea. The downside is stopping for food then starting up again, I'd imagine by the time we're all done eating, the roads will have plenty of folk about?

Any other cafe near Wickham? Alternatively, we could alter the route to allow Goodwood to be the final destination?

As before let's me carefull with posting routes as you never know who's watching, we did have a couple of rozzers sat around the last route. If everyone offers 07:30 to 09:30 worth of time the routes could be agreed at the meet?
