Just a quick one, i know we're not strictly southcoast but i figure if we're anywhere this is the closest forum.

So yeah, if there is anyone in Andover out and about tonight maybe for an evening drive/burn/razz (whatever you like to call it) Just be aware that there are laser traps about. Mainly on dual carrigeways i think. I just got caught off guard by one and now have a lovely fluffy 3 points to add to my license and have to pay £60 for the privilage. Granted i was completely in the wrong and deserved it but still, it sucks.

They do love to sit there - it's a favoured spot.

Andover has alot of badly modified cars driven by muppets, there are always speed traps and ANPR checks happening around the ring road and on the bypass

where exaclty did you get caught?

Firstly, my E60 530d isn't a chaved up monkey machine!!! F’ing chavs has cost me!!

Right, now I’ve got that out of the way!

I was approaching Farnham. Went over roundabout that goes up hill, passed a lay-by on the left (obviously!) its the one covered by trees. Just after there is a slip road, towards where, I’m not sure.

There is a bridge that immediately afterwards drops downhill, its quiet steep, they were sat in the middle just as the road levels out.

Hope that’s clear!

I didn't think you were mate! Just needed to justify my annoyance at being nicked!!!

It’s becoming more and more apparent that driving down a massive open dual carriageway you’re more likely to get caught speeding. I think I might start driving really slow on the motorway and DCW, and nail it around my local village instead.

This way I should never get points again?? smile

(That’s a joke before I get flamed!)

Although factually accurate, perhaps not the most helpful post on "Pistonheads - Speed matters" wink

Sorry, a late reply i know. But it was the little bit of dual carrigeway headed away from the new Asda towards Artists way. There's a long bus stop there which they were perched in. I was over taking and completely missed them,(untill i saw one waving franticly in my rear view) so instead of burning it off into the night and risking a chase, i decided to reverse up the bus stop to them. Probs didn't help i didn't stop. Oops.

No that road very well. It would seem they spend alot of time sitting there because hardly anyone sticks to 40 along there. Easy money for them in affraid.

Yeah, i hate dual carrigeways that have stupid limits like that on, i went down it just now and stuck to 40 only to realise how stupidly slow it is on a road like that.
