I arrange something similar last year for the TVR crew, unless you have got very good contacts at Thruxton, the best you can hope for is to meet up in the car park, and kick some tyres, we just used it for a hour stopover.
Some one stuck a video of us all leaving on You Tube, the link is on the bottom of this post, disgusting behaviour though hehe
I normally arrange something at that time of the year, so maybe a joint TVR/PH meet might be on the cards if you don`t mind slumming it with some plastic pigs? biggrin

Everyone is welcome. No badge snobbery here mate. Had a Griff myself a while back. I want to get as many cars there as possible. Try & make a proper event out of it.

The Boxing Day meet is more than 'Classic cars'.
You will find the square and all the surrounding roads packed with every form of transport you can imagine from horse and cart through to Ultima (had to get that in) along with military, steam, motorbikes etc.
If you get there early don't expect to get away until early afternoon as you will be locked in as every inch of the square will be taken.

hi all.
been in contact with thruxton.
as t66ora has mentioned , theres not a lot going to happen there on 4 jan.
the people i spoke to run the schools (didnt know they closed down the skid pan a couple of years ago !) and cant help me with a day out, as thats down to the barc who own the circuit.
i could try to approach them , but id imagine they would want paying for any event.

Doesn't seem to be but that's probably because the meeting pre-dates the internet.
If you Google it you just get a flood of car and bike forums all with it in their calendar.

You're not kidding...Mentioned everywhere, but everywhere also has very vague details about what goes on, if anything at all!

Will have to pop along smile
