Good morning, my South Coast brethren.

Had a strange one this morning. Driving to work, I came up behind a silver Pug 206 driving pretty slowly. As I approached, he put his left indicator on, moved over and slowed down as if to stop. I overtook and he promptly stuck his main beam on and proceeded to follow me for two miles, a foot off my bumper.

Normally this wouldn't cause me a huge amount of concern but he followed me all the way to work and, as I turned into the entry gate to show my pass, he stopped in the middle of the main road and stared at me through his passenger window. confused

silly There are some weird people out there.

rofl If I were gay and on the lookout for balding, slightly overweight middle-aged men then I would be made up, Chrissy.

The plot thickens.

I've just had a call from our security office to say that some chap has called in and reported me for speeding along the same coast road on which I overtook him. confused

I don't understand...he indicated left and slowed down, I overtook him, and now he's reported me for speeding? He obviously thinks I am in the military (I work on a customer site) and he's trying to get me in trouble...?

I wonder if he'll report it to the police as well.

Take it from me, if he does report it to the police there is nothing they can or would do about it. They will just empathyse with him, verbally pat him on the back and thank him for his time for calling in, then put it in the big grey filing cabinet called the bin with all the others. Its your word against his at the end of the day.

Next time you see him just remember to blow him a kiss. xx

laugh Thanks Jim. I don't really understand the logic behind people's actions sometimes, but there you go.

That is mad! Ive had somethings like that happen previously, but then to actually go and report you.. thats crazy, must have eaten away at him inside that he felt the need to go and report you for overtaking... I was waiting to come onto a round about, and the guy coming round indicated left to go down the road i was trying to come out of.. so i hesitantly begin to pull out as i always wait to make sure they are going left.. and he continues on with my nose stuck out abit in the road where i thought i was going to be able to go and join this busy round about, he stops his car right in front of mine and looks at me as though ive caused the end of the world!

Yeah I was. Interestingly, I saw him again this morning as I was pulling out of my road, he drove straight past me. This time he had his wife in the car and started jabbering away to her and pointing at the car.

Mental. I only rue the fact that I forgot to blow him a kiss as per Jim's suggestion.

Probably. I tend to bimble along Stokes Bay at about 40mph along with everyone else.
