Just a thought but try a Fiat 500 Abarth, weve just bought one & its a fantastic road car, Ive also been given a few demo laps round goodwood in one & its an absolute stunner on the track. Ok it was an ex race driver at the helm but it was gobling up Elises at an amazing rate.
Weve also got a 350Z twin Turbo & Im finding the Abarth is real fun & often takes priority when deciding which car to take out. The 350Z is a great car but prices have gone through the floor so if you go that way drive a hard deal. The last new ones were sold by Nissan earlier this year at around 19500 on the road, this has killed the s/hand market.

IMO avoid the TT, the car has an Image problem, the one you are looking at has the bigger non turbo engine, sounds nice but because of the extra weight Ive heard sufers badly from undester when pushed

If you go Abarth route it will be new & therefore you have a 3 year warranty for peace of mind but you wil have to wait as I still think every one made is sold & it wll be a factory order

I didnt say that in reference to the BMW, so go back and read properly.

Would think hard about the BMW Z4 3.0 - my buddy had one for a while & he couldn't shake me off & i was in my £650.00 Renault 21 Turbo - however, on the track @ Castle Combe it was fantastic.....He sold up & bought an M6 - which is mental.....

Wouldn't go for the TT - hair cut anyone....??LOL
Do like the look of the 350Z.
My father in law has a 2002 Honda S2000 - cracking little car & fantastic fun to drive....

I was going to mention the Honda S2000, as the Z4 and Boxster have already been mentioned. Like Jon, my parents have one and it's incredible fun. There's nothing quite like redlining at 9000rpm with the roof down on a sunny day!
