Yes had the VXR turbo done by Back on Track in Guildford- really good guys and heard great reviews. Cost me a little over a grand- Vauxhall quoted £1500 plus to do a standard turbo. Supposed to give an out the box gain of about 20-30 bhp I think. Does not feel massively quicker but certainly pulls like a train again. Once I get a remap I think I will really benefit as I have a full de-catted Miltek system also. Want to get the coilovers next though and will take it to Back on Track for a fast road/ track geo setup. I've got the VXR 16/17 wheels on and the 16's on the front seem to cause understeer a bit so the nose needs to come lower to the ground.
yeah they seem like good guys up there. I was up there on Friday to get a full Milltek fitted to mine. as it happened i couldn't get it done on Firday (no gaskets! bloody second hand exhausts!) But should be going up this Friday for them to try to do it then for me! Cant waut!
Does yours make a decent noise with your Miltek? wanted a Larini but couldnt justify the 1400 plus fitting!!
I'm sure that the VXR turbo with the remap will certainly give you a different feeling car. HAve you seen the remap offer on VX220.org with Courtneys??? might be worth a look!
Interesting you say yours understeers a bit, i thought the compos would do away witht hat. Mine has had a fast road geo set up sone on it by Plans, but its on the standard wheels. It understeers a bit but not too bad. Thinking the tyres probably arent helping though as they are on there way out and a few years old.

Jon the Milltek sounds great- hope its de-catted like mine. Makes a real fruity noise and get some nice pops on high boost changes. Remap is on the cards but after forking out a turbo not for a while. Next up is some coilovers with a fast track geo and changing the numberplate. Thinking of some R888's as well.
