Had a free afternoon so decided it was time to finally give the VR a bit of attention, it hasn't been polished in well over a year, just added sealant and wax when needed.

So started of with the foam and wash. Also clayed it but there was next to nothing on the paint.





Then taped up



Then went over with the Dodo Juice lime prime to bring back the depth and shine to the paint.







Followed that up with 2 coats of Jetseal 109 and a coat of Dodo Juice Supernatural, will add another layer of wax after the next wash.











Now just need to repolish the alloys, exhaust, treat all the leather!

...and I thought your Golf looked stunning at the last meet thats just a whole new level!
What was the bit of tape on the rear quarter? What kind of masking tape do you use Luke?

I use the 3M 3434 tape, quite expensive but very good. The tape on the quarter is to get a comparison before and after polishing so you can see the improvement

The contrast between the polished and non polished is amazing!

i can't get over that.

Thanks mate, yeah do it for a living. This was a mates mk4 golf!

Thats looks lovely mate

can you do plastic cars to?? might seem like a silly questions, but didnt know if the paint was any different on them.

(by plastic i mean like the VX220)

Yeah not a problem just need to go carefully.

This is a viper bonnet which is painted fibreglass.



or Smart car painted plastic
