Hi all, recently remember someone on here, local to Portsmouth who did garage door replacements and made to measure doors.

Anyone know who this might be or can anyone recommend anybody?!

Thanks.

Hi Michael

I had David (aka Doorman) and Simon from Prestige Garage Doors round today to install a couple of roller doors for me. I can heartily recommend them - friendly and professional service and a job well done today! All at the quoted (and reasonable) price.

Here's a couple of photos to show before & after...

After:

Cheers

Now why didnt you get rid of that central pier!!?? My garage doors used to be 2 normal doors side by side like that and I got a builder to knock the pier out (while supporting other structure of course!) and put in a huge girder ,then I got southern garage doors from Gosport to put in a 15ft Thermaglide white remote roller door...fantastic job!! 2 grand all in for that 5 years ago.

Does anyone know any good companies in the North Wales / North West of England. I just had a quote from Everest for a motorised sectional door and they wanted £3.5k (and that was with a discount apparently!).

Would love to get this done to make the garage more useful - what does the new girder rest on?

Hi Guys - just want you to know that I have had a new garage door installed today on the back of this string .... Dave (aka Doorman) and his son Simon did a superb job and gave me the 10% pistonheads discount too. The main motivation was getting an extra 6 inches (I've cracked all the obvious gags already)on the garage as it was slightly too short for the porsche. They fitted a roller door externally and did a really pro job. Cheers - Boom

Hi Paul, glad you're happy with the door! It's always a pleasure to work for PH'ers!

The porsche is beautiful and that exhaust note in sports mode...mmmmm!!

Simon.

Another satisfied customer here for Prestige Garage Doors. They installed a new motorised roller door for me and have done a great job.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the Thunderbirds music playing as it opens!

Dave does have OCD, but when it comes to fitting doors that comes in pretty handy for his customers. I have his number on hot dial for when my new house purchase is sorted and I have moved in - two new shiney doors is at the top of the list much to the wifes disapproval!!
