Been trying out some light painting recently. Just quick 5min sessions. Torches keep dying etc. Need to get some proper lights and set aside some decent time! Nick and Andy provided the inspiration, my god it's hard!

Thanks - yes it is. Bloody dark down that way. Took nearly half an hour for the sky to become that bright on-camera.

Couple of tips to make it easier:
Bare torchlight can be very effective for lightpainting but IMO works best from a static position. To move the light around the car like you have done, I'd be looking for something more diffuse.
Wear dark colours to keep yourself out-of-shot.

It's been on an S5 Coupe in the same colour, a silver mk5 Golf R32 and a White Oettinger GTI Ed30 over the last few years. It's been to numerous hoons, Sunday Services etc.

Took the quattro out for a few piccies today... I wanted to get a couple of pictures within an avenue of trees similar to the Countryfile Calander... (for those sad enough like me to know what that is!)..

Been having a little bit of 'me' time today, so took the RallyWreck out for a run, took some pictures, then washed the old girl down after Sunday's Goodwood meet and had an hour or so just tinkering... Very therapeutic and nice to have the old girl active again.

Trekked a few KM to find a suitable location whilst on holiday without a hire car in eastern Finland, was lucky to find this misty island for some startrails

Possibly my most recent car light painting, looking forward to shooting more through the hoon season.

Just a bit of fun

Stonehenge. Nuff said.

yes Painted grill, larger sidelamps, indicators and larger rear windows. (948 engine and remote gear change aren't visable, but significant differences wink )

And, is the car local, my brother has an A30, so always interested to know of locals smile
