Just did the maths and we should have about 26 P'hers defiantly going and 40+ in total!

Since no one is making a big fight for anywhere else it looks like Drusillas it will be but as offered by Pete I will check out the bakers arms and the worlds end very soon. All three of these pubs offer fantastic driving roads so I will map a course too in case anyone wants to-do it.

If its the Bakers Arms in Wallisdown then you might be needing a bigger car park. Can be quite busy too and is often used as a shortcut to avoid the traffic lights. If its not that one then i'll shut up now lol.

Your thinking of what used to be the Mountbatten Arms (now called something like the dog and fist), the Bakers arms is the other end of the Poole bypass. Where you turn off for Wareham.

went to a meet at the bakers on sunday, the tarmac part of the car park is usually fairly full. overspill bit is gravel and a bit potholey.

on the plus side it's a 2 minute drive from my house. in case that helps.

Out through Bishopsworth and over Dundry
Past Chew Valley Lake, and up the hill to the Castle of Comfort
Cross the A39 at the Green Ore crossroads
Through Shepton Mallet to the Bath & West Showground
Left onto the B3081 which takes you almost all the way there, including Zig-Zag Hill out of Shaftesbury. It's a fantastic road, but will take a couple of hours to get there.

It will more then likely be the the Drusillas inn. They are more than happy to take us and have a large enough car park for us all and it concreted too which is good. Unless there are any real quibbles with it then to Drusillas we will go.

I will go down there Sunday afternoon and see how busy it gets and say hi face to face and try to get some pictures of the place and maybe see if we can get any deals on food and drink.


Additional notes.

How worried are people about going for a drive after? Because if there is a great interest over it I will plan out a route for us all.
