Hi all,

this event was fantatsic for so many reasons, it delivered a Radio2 Familiy friendly weekend, not pure Motorsport, nit pure festival, but one that many familiesenjoyed as a whole, bringing in new blood to car passions. It is these first experiences that develope dreams of the future. Our member with the Aventador (on track and Dream Rides) explained his poster car was a Countach (yes we had one of those too!) and after working extremely hard in business and being a little lucky he is able to afford a modern poster car, PLUS share it with others.

We raised c£10k on Dream Rides through every member volunteering their time and petrol, the XJ220 was driven by Don or Jason Law, although CPoP regulars will recall Sporting Bears had one 3 years running taking people out for donations. The Police co-operation on the event and the surrounding roads was brilliant, they would often explain intell on busy times to stop our drivers getting caught in traffic (lambo clutches don't enjoy waiting!) and they were also often chatting about their passion for cars.

We also received amssive support from Bauer Millet and Amari supercars to add to our members cars, plus amazing support from CES & Autosessive with their van and marquee, so we could shade the Lola! then Speedy Hire for barriers againCheck out pics on FB Sporting Bears Northwest and follow us on twitter @Sportingbears as we are about to break the £1,000,000 raised for Childrens Charities.

Next NW events are 22nd Sept in Wilmslow centre and then October 20th in Liverpool ONE, so we can brighten up the shoppers day!! If you are starting to get bored with displaying your car at shows why not talk to the Sporting Bears and get involved, share your passeneger seat with admirers who will be able to tell how they were in a great car for 20minutes and the owner was helping raise money too!

Thank you to all the drivers, helpers, but especially all the public who donated, 100% goes to help Children.

cheers Max

Hi Max,

Just thought I'd use my first post on here to say thanks for organising a great weekend, was our first "real" sporting bears event and definitely not last,

As a couple of side notes: There are still black lines on the A49 yesterday (15/09) and I'm staying away from the number plate discussion earlier in the post

Dave
