The owners did plan on running petrolhead type evenings during the summer... but have unfortunately been kept waiting quite a while so far in their application to the council for being open in the evenings.

It seems they are reluctant to allow a cafe to open later despite the site having previously been a petrol station that was open very late most days of the week.

Good old local council!

Called in here on Saturday afternoon. Great food and coffee. There was a lovely yellow Esprit and a Griffith parked up with lots of big bikes too. Well worth a visit if you're in the lakes.

It's been too busy every time I have passed, always parked up.. so unfortunately,due to lack of parking I have never been able to stop in.

My first visit on Sunday with two other exiges.com members. Excellent grub and coffee. Well thought out and well run place. Deserves every success.

Congratulations on finally getting permission to stay open after 6pm. Its been a long struggle. We can now pop in after work for tea.

If you're out and about Keswick area, its well worth a visit.

Hi all, I've been trying to get hold of the Filling Station guys to ask about Motorcycle hire but website / Facebook etc don't seem to work. Are they still up and running? I'm travelling over from Aus for the Manx next year (2015) and planning to tour the Lakes District so thought these guys would be perfect.

Any help or info appreciated.
