So I read in the 'spotted' thread that there is a German classic car show at Haigh Hall, Wigan, this Sunday. Had a scout around the web but can't find much about it apart from there will be German classic cars, a food stall and a German beer tent. This sounds pretty promising, plus its free!

Has anyone attended the previous years events who can comment on whether it's worth turning up?

A mate of mine went last year - said it was ok. Nothing to write home about - but then it's free.

Plus think last year was 1st year - perhaps it will be a bit bigger with more to see this year.

Actually thinking back - think this one was good - he seemed to think it was ok but i'm sure it lashed it down and that was his only moan.

Some good pics there, I thought the 2002tii was very nice, I think it got best car in show. The show goes from strength to strength, only it's third year this year. £1.50 for spectators to park and the show was free, that's a very cheap car show.

It is a good little show. And keeping the entry charge at zero has to be a rare but good thing these days. I tell you though, that TIPEC mob had a good display of cars... ;-)

Well that depends, see, the TIPEC display featured a 356, and a pre-impact 911 right through to a 991 (in celebration of the 911s fiftieth birthday), plus nearly all the display cars had a (slightly amateur) info sheet... Not bad for such a small club, methinks.

The main thing of course is that the marque was well represented by both clubs - GT3RS, Sport Classic, some anniversay specials, a 996 turbo s... for free, a top show!

I heard you were going to hand in your PCGB membership cars and join TIPEC having failed to win the concourse. Again.

Rally glad that some of you came along and enjoyed it.The show is booked for 2014/15/16/17.The monies raised from the raffle and donations all go to the local hospice and there are NO plans to ever put an entry fee on.This year was the third year btw.Phil.
There are some pics on page 412 of the PH north west spotted section.

Really enjoyed the event as a treat at the end of our walk to Haigh. Some lovely old stuff - not fussed about VAG, but some of the Mercs were stared at for a long while.
Good sausages too.
