Are we the most scarce county in England for PH'ers?

I mean were quite a big county but I guess were one of the most under populated ones. At the same time we have some of the best roads on our doorstep.

I know of a couple around my area (Carlisle) but surely there's more than that??
This is probably falling on deaf ears but it would be nice to have some regular local events/meets, I've found myself travel up to the borders to go on some.

So if your from Cumbria or as near as, let yourself be known.

Another one here in the county. Usually make two runs up to Scotland for the runs starting from Dumbarton. It would be good to do more of the like here in Cumbria unfortunately tomorrow can't be done.

Thanks to Andrew for a great day out, for the great drive and see some magnificent cars!
It was great to put the Jag through the twisties for a change, I was impressed for such a large car.

Saw you guys today, passing Tarn How this afternoon.

Heard you well before I saw you mind 😀

I think I saw the two TVRs at the Preston meet last weekend, I was in the red 2 eleven.

I'm near Cockermouth. Not free at weekends that often but if I'm ever free when there's a run out I'll see if I can make it. We certainly do have some great roads. I came over Hartside yesterday afternoon on my way home from the northeast, it was the busiest I've ever seen it but I still had a good run.

Sounds like there is quite some exotica around after all but are they members on here?

See you had a nice little gathering Andrew!

Am considering displaying at the dalemain show on the 17th.. Be good to have a get together for that... Also think there doing a run from Carlisle up to the borders on the Saturday.

There's also a boys and toys meet at j36 on the 31st??

Yuppy, a few of those mentioned in the area of Hawkshead. The/a California (in Black) lives in Ulverston. Another friend has a nice Viper Green Porka in Ulverston as well.

Definitely up for a Cumbrian meet, especially partial to a mid-week breakfast at Chesters (Skelwith Bridge).

Occasionally, we will head to Preston Breakfast Meet (second to last Sunday each month) meet and/or Mitton Hall Meet (first Sunday of each month), might be fun to organise Cumbrian meet up and convoy down/back to either of those as well.

Hi everyone,

Very rarely visit this section of pistonheads, precisely because of the issue you've mentioned- seemingly a lack of petrolheads around the county. I own a Vauxhall Monaro VXR, and I'm based around the Penrith area. I also got to drive this Ferrari at the weekend, which lives close to me:

There is also a white Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, that lives a few miles from me smile

I'd be up for a drive with fellow PH'ers, so please feel free to include me in any events/meets that are organised. I'll also make more of an effort to visit this section smile

Mike
