"We've kept the good people of Manchester waiting long enough... But at long last, we're finally coming back!

See you at Krispy Kreme UK's Trafford Centre store on Sunday September 28th. As always, attendance is completely free to all."

The last one was dire. If SCD hadn't turned up it would have just been a carpark full of Corsa's and DS3's

That car park only opened after Police intervention. But lets be fair, that was the first, and mistakes happen. If it gets supported enough the organisation will improve, as will the quality of the cars.

We are not supporting this event formally but sure a few members will go under their own steam.

After the poor organisation on the last two events, I doubt I could get some of the members to go if I paid them!

To be fair there's only so much the organiser can do. If only boy racers turn up, then only boy racers will be seen. Support from other owners is needed to make this event a success.
Whilst the first didn't go perfectly, once the large car park was opened it was a very good event, I'm sure lessons were learnt.

Fair comment. Although compounded by the fact the NW checkpoint event was a disaster it left a sour taste if I'm honest. We had high hopes that the multi million pound company that is gumball could put on a breakfast meet as their rallies are seemingly glitch free. On a positive note I've heard there's quite a few Supercars are going this time so should be a lot better smile

Absolutely right about the checkpoint too. I'd like to think a lack of local knowledge contributed to the first "get together" being a bit of a shambles, but the checkpoint issues were really not good.
I hope this weekend is not just a bit better, we need it to be a lot better. There are very few publicised events in the north as it is, without bad organisation putting a stop to one.

I saw the jaguar crash and the mercedes crashed round the corner from me, almost had video of both crashing but cut it off just before

facebook.com/DHibbertPhotography

the Mercedes crash and was on a flatbed within 10-15mins and then gone, before the police showed up
something fishy about it, rumours going round it was stolen from a valet
they took the plates and tax disc off right away

Ouch! This must have happened after I left, afternoon?
Looks like a lot more damage than the Jag, I see some of the airbags have gone off.

A big shame really, these kind of incidents puts events like this in danger.

Well that was a bit silly wasn't it?

Its bellends like that which give events like this a bad name.

What a great day it has been at The Gumball Get Together in Manchester, so nice to see so many of you guys coming out, all positive vibes and the love shown has been great. However, one little idiot towards the end felt a little brave and maybe wanted his 5 seconds of fame, leaned into my car and said some abusive language to which I got out the car and then asked him to say what he said again. He didn't utter a word, so I got the message that he was a little bhboy and got back in my car. Drove 100 yards stuck in traffic, and he again, leant in, this time in the passenger side and shouted something to my friend, which made me get out again, and give chase (most exercise I've done in 6 months) and then I guess it was for the better that people were there getting in the way, one thing is for sure though, I will never be mugged off. Especially by a bh boy!! We're not gangsters or aggressive people, but disrespecting people that are close to me is a problem. You may have seen the video "Lord Aleem kicking off", the title should be - "bh boy wanting his 5 seconds of fame". I don't encourage anyone to be aggressive but there's a line, and if you cross it, you've just gotta do what you've gotta do! Hope everyone gets back home safe, it's been a pleasure. Many thanks.

Sounds like it was a meet filled with immature bell ends off their meds.

That quote just reinforces that. Picking a fight because someone called him a name. How about stay in your car, be the bigger man and ignore him? Afterall it is a reaction the other guy wants.

Also the attempted drifting, what a bunch of idiots.

All I can say is far too many dheads at these big meets. They just attract the wrong crowd.

I was going to come along, but I was a bit hungover still after birthday night out. All I can see is behaviour like this stopping further events happening.
