I'm also in Newton-Le-Willows, although a slightly cheaper part than you. Certainly the high street is looking better than it did a few years ago, with more shops and a great new pub, so there must be a bit more money in the area.

Undecided on the Parkside developments. On the one hand it will bring more money to the area, but if it further increases traffic levels then people won't be happy. It's bad enough trying to get to the motorways at rush hour already.

I've just read your "building a pub" thread, and i'll say it again - Great new pub on the high street wink
Myself and the dog love it, though the wife prefers the comfy seats of the Pied Bull.

Great beer in there.

Brave opening a new bar in this day and age, doing well though.

I'd noticed for a couple of years that it was impossible to get a decent pint on the high street. So many great pubs but so much crap beer. The success of the local beer festival showed there was a market for it, so I'm not surprised the place has done well.
