I'm going, on the classic car club display for the three days.

Disappointed the Vulcan is a fly-past and not a full display, but probably the only place I'll get to see it in the final year of flight so better than nothing.

I'll be there for full 3 too - lot to see with the varied live track action etc. Hopefully the Vulcan will do at least a couple of passes and a full reheat ascent!

Always good to see more TVR's & supporting good cause too. Word is we'll finally see a TVR on the sprint track when new one emerges wink

Looking forward to it. never been before; any top tips to keep the kids entertained?

If last years show is anything to go by then no, it peaked approx. 3-4 years ago.

There's loads going on for the kids, but as it's a big place it's worth checking the event schedule to be in the right spot at the right time.

I'm hoping that was a blip, it seemed to coincide with a few sponsor agreements ending, but we'll see. It's about the only similar event with a big trip, so I hope it can continue.

Well I'll be having fun!

Just found out my driver entry's been accepted in the Supercar Sprint in an Audi R8 as a promo for a company hiring sports cars for road use. Nice gig smokin

Bought tickets online, why was I charged £2.50 handling fee when the tickets get emailed to me and I have to print them off myself anyway?!

It's all about revenue generation. Small numbers for specific activities all make us accepting.

Is the ordering backoffice stuff done by a ticket agency, perhaps? I know the handling charge that people like Ticketmaster put on is their profit on the sale, they don't get a trade discount on the tickets they sell so add a profit in this form.

Nice one.

So you got this then?? smile

The chosen cars will be given four complimentary day tickets for the event and the drivers will also be invited to the racing club for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea courtesy of the Marquess of Cholmondeley.

Well, there isn't a "lap" as such as it's an end-to-end track.

Whilst the cars are impressive, the typhoon was spectacular. The power and the noise was incredible. Anyone got a time for the Vulcan as I wanted to get there in time on Sunday?

Not sure on the time, but it is doing a display at Welshpool Airshow straight after and then another at Cosford Airshow after that. Maybe the times are on their websites so you can tie it in with an estimate time at CPOP
