Not sure I follow. Are you saying it's not a Monaro?

Ah, I get you. Bit odd that he got the title right and description wrong!

I'v hardly seen anything lately, but did see this Monaro VXR 500 yesterday morning in Warrington. 6.0 V8 supercharged in non-stop heavy rain? not sure how twitchy these are/how much bravery was involved biggrin

Yes - they are ... it's mine.

yes

Ian

Nice Pic BTW - thank you.

Thanks Ian thumbup The pic came out ok for a drive-by, split-second window down/up quick in pouring rain!

Also, this one probably not worth a spot, but seeing as I got a pic...Trafford Centre, took a pic because it’s the only one I’ve seen in this colour, was quite close to being a weird brown.

Can't say I think my own Monaro is overly twitchy. Mine is my daily driver an it only steps out when I provoke it. Hell I drive mine in literally all weather.

Including snow....

No, I know. Anything with that much power needs a little respect when you drive it but you have to be a bit lead-footed to bin it. I had a 500bhp Mustang that was well planted but you did have to pay a little more attention in the wet.

Oh of course, anything with a lot of power and torque in the wet can be a handful. Powerful rear drive cars need respect. Even more so when they don't have all the electronic aids most modern cars do.

The Monaro's traction control is utterly useless. It'll let you get very sideways, then it might just snap the throttle shut.

I'll be honest I tend to slow down a lot in the wet anyway, not really because of myself or the car and what could happen. More than I'm worried about other motorists making mistakes.

That's made me look forward to a curry arriving even more. thumbup

monaro situation could be catalysed by owner thinking he's modding the suspension setup with positive effects, but generating the exact opposite? Not sure there are many standard monaros left knocking around...

Blue TVR Chimaera with hood up spotted around Parbold this afternoon. Also spotted a white Triumph Vitesse convertible heading onto the Rainford bypass.

And a reddish orange black bumper MGB GT heading through Billinge.

Saturday afternoon spotted a grey Aston Martin (probably a DB9) parked along Harrison St near the Queens Arms at Saddle Junction in Wigan. And a white new model Ford Mustang GT in Goose Green heading towards the Landgate/Bryn area.

Beautiful noisy Ferrari F12tdf just drove through Wilmslow. You get a lot of nuts cars here but that takes the biscuit.

Waj's latest acquisition, I believe. Pictured by Adz The Rat elsewhere on the forum, we saw it in Manchester today. Mansory Siracusa 4XX, based on a 488.

Black Vantage S with yellow calipers around Preston.

Sounded like it was doing about 100mph creeping over a speedbump at about 2! cloud9
