Agreed, or possibly Castlefield, or Spinningfileds at a push. I'd vote for Great Northern too, although it isn't cheap, there's always tons of space so little chance of getting a car next to you.

Achingly expensive though. Depends who is paying.

I've found a "special" space (as i always try to do) in my current car park, right in a corner and in with slightly awkward entry so others tend not to use it. With a bit of reverse-park nouse and nothing more than a medium sized car and you've got no chance of being dinged. Not sure what will happen when the S8 arrives though...

I probably understated it in a typical Lancashire way by saying "it isn't cheap", I agree it's eye wateringly expensive smile

I'm a bit gutted as my city centre space will be going when we up sticks the Quays later this year, despite rarely using it. Personally, I avoid driving in unless it's half term or other school holidays as it's just too dull. If I had to it to park then I'd definitely use the train.

They've opened up the old CIS tower car park as a pay and display. It's currently on an introductory offer of £2 a day so it's full by the time I get there. Printworks NCP is less than £4 a day 'early bird' before a certain time (9am?). Arrive after that time and it's about £5 an hour!!

I quite like driving in, but I go in early. Been getting the tram a couple of days a week to keep the mileage down (lease ends in July, and it's going to be a touch over!) and whilst it's good once you're on, it's slower door to door cos I have to drive or cab it 15 mins to Altrincham to pick it up.

I was doing the tram for a while and sacked it off. Although it was a tad cheaper having to wait 12 minutes after just missing a tram a couple of times was too painful in this weather. I now park on Great Jackson Street at the RCP. It's £4 a day (although I use the app as i never have change which is £4.50) and a 10 minutes walk into the centre. Always plenty of space too.

Tram is made worse as the line works mean no direct trams from my work to Altrincham until late summer. In other news I can almost do my entire week using apps and Apple Pay. Car parks, tram, uber, work canteen and even expenses! The only cash based stter is getting a cab from home
