parking in altrincham for metrolink

anyone got any tips for parking in altrincham for the metrolink tram? Literally don't care about cost as I am expensing it, but i need to either pay by card or online, and also preferably somewhere where i am not going to just accumulate door dings. Unmarked bays... or is that too much to ask

I know you can parking at the ice rink but it's a coin op machine i think.

How about having a chat with someone like the cresta court hotel?

Short walk to the metrolink. I used to leave my car there occasionally to get the tram into town. No drama, reasonable place to have a cup of coffee.

Not a bad idea but the issue is that it would likely be most days, and I'd sooner pay a fee than have to be concerned if I'm using the space too often etc.

Maybe one of those 'park on my driveway for a fiver a day' gigs might be good to investigate

they are tiny spaces, the 'rent a drive' sounds the best
