I used Birkenhead powder coaters and some of the coating has crazed since it was done, not immediately I may add.

As said the Wheel Deal gets very good reviews... shame I only read them after getting my wheels powder coated.

David, I used Birkenhead Powder Coating on my Landcruiser and as I expected the result was somewhat very sub-average but then it was cheap, and was fine for a work horse. On my BMW M car I used Lepsons, it will mean a courier company but it was painless and the end result was sublime. I had a darker black chrome shadow metallic effect, very difficult to do but Lepsons truly worked there magic. Wasn't a bad price either.

Cheers guys thanks for that, I know Lepsons used them for Merc split rims in the past. This is our new winter basher, I try not to fall in love but I'm head over heels, 4wd, flat 6, pan roof, auto, 250bhp - I can't help do it up a bit but Lepsons is a step too far.
Amazingly a full new set of alloys is on offer at £320 so I've gone for that - the parts company obviously had to blow the dust off them and will even deliver free!
