Is there a regular PH meet up (something like the Virginia waters Gathering)?
Want to get out and about in the BoghouseBlue Monster and meet some more new faces

Prescot you say? Well, I and some other PHers live in Cronton so I'd be up for a quick blast occassionally. Do you know the Manor Farm pub in Rainhill?

How about the Bottle & Glass, just off the Rainford by-pass close to the East Lancs Road.

I would be interested too.

I'm based in Burscough, near Ormskirk so Rainford would be great...

Bluey & me are in Crosby. Up for a jaunt some time.

PS There's the North West Casual Classics gathering today in Fiddler's Ferry if anyone's interested. We'll be there - hope the predicted "light showers" aint another bbc weather understatement ...

Only been once and it isn't a massive gathering, but there's a range of motors - no "exotica" when we got there but there was a GT40 driving away, so who knows?

Cant give specific directions but we found it last year by just hitting the village and following the informal card signs stood in verges and tied to trees, so it's easy enough. It's near a boat club area I recall.

Ian, where in Skem, I'm in Up Holland. what do you drive?

We need someone brave enough to suggest a place and time and just go for it so ..... next Wednesday, Bottle & Glass Inn, St Helens Rd, Rainford (just off the Rainford by-pass) say 7.30pm. Assuming a dry night, I'll be in my Caterham.

I was thinking a good blat out in Cheshire, round by Oulton. Wonderful roads, probably a bit far though.

Ok, start from the Bottle and Glass (at 7.30pm on Wed 19th) with a run out to the Colliers Arms in Crank as the roads are good there and the food is superb last time I went.

Any thoughts?

Ok here's the two options:

1) meet at the Bottle and Glass, Rainford on the 19th (Wednesday) at 7.30pm for a drive around possibly to the Collier's Arms...

2) Drive out to Oulton (meeting in the car park round the corner or in the circuit itself) and go for a blast around the good roads there and perhaps a bit of a drinky in the Hungry Horse (or such) afterwards.

It's up to you.

Bottle & Glass would be better for me during the week (work / kids ect). Maybe an Oulton blast during the weekend.

Cheers
Paul

OK, do we want a blat on Wednesday or do we want a pint of shandy on the carpark and kick some tyres? If we go for a blat, how about the lanes through to Formby, along the by-pass, past woodvale, Southport coast road, Rufford
and back to the pub. ..... Just a thought for a local (local to the pub) run.
