Sorry Vesuvius 996 I missed your post...

As a guide price as per job on the Jag I charge £195 all inclusive for the 'premier detail' but this would be confirmed upon completion of my inspection.

Just to give you an idea of how much work is involved Mike's Jag took myself and my assistant 13 HOURS to complete...

I hope this helps.

IF you have any further questions please drop me an email: Enquiries@obsessivecardetailing.co.uk

Thanks,

Scott

Hi

I have a Lotus Elan which is fibreglass and has quite a few stonechips on the front end, is it possible for you to repair these?

Hi,

Sorry I dont usually do stonechip repair... if its one or two stonechips then I can apply touch up paint and wet sand these to blend into surrounding panel but anymore than that then you would be best locating a stonechip / scratch repair specialist.

Thanks

Wasnt to be a nice job this one... I had been concerned about the weather all week but the BBC said it was going to be sunny in Southport so off I travelled with my trusty Kosovan refugee in tow for an 'Exterior Detail' on thi s 2002 Jag XKR Super charged (more later)

Turned up just after 8.30am to meet James who I had spoken too a few times via email... get the introductions out of the way and we get stuck in... quick inspection revealed some paintwork in the past but the car wasnt in bad condition at all for a 2002 plate ... just some light to medium swirls and scratches all over the car caused by poor washing techniques...

So anyway... Products used:

Megs Super Degreaser
Megs Wheel Brightner
Megs Shampoo Plus

Pre-rinse and then washed using Eurows wash mitts (two buckets)

Rinsed and clay bar'd using Sonus Green

Polished using Menzerna IP and Lake Country Light cutting pad

Glazed with Clearcoat Red Moose Glaze (love this stuff)

Waxed with Nattys

Arches dressed with Megs HD

Wheels polished with clearcoat red moose glaze and sealed with PB wheel sealant

Tyres dressed with Megs Endurance

Glass clay'd then cleaned with Megs glass cleaner

Exhaust tips cleaned with AG metal polish

Picture time...

Swirls...

Then the heavens opened.... and I mean opened!

So reallocation to the customers ex-wifes garage and a quick QD and dry off before polishing commence using a garage where only half the car would fit in at a time

Off we go again...

Then it started getting dark and cold

Customer was over the moon... he didnt realise it was metallic black - he emailed me today saying even though the weather has been bad the car still looks great as the dirt cant stick

I have to admit that I found this detail very hard... it was cold and wet all day and ached for a couple of days after...

Cheers

Scott
