Is the warp drive working on the Tuscan? Otherwise I think you might have a job getting to Macclesfield Tescos for 11:00.

Cheers.

As others have said, I think we need to be leaving Mascrat at 10:30 to make Macc tesco at 11:00.

Unless anyone knows better the route I normally take is South down M6 over Thelwall, come off at J19, and head right, continue down this four lane road for a shrot distance, and then left at the first set of lights and you are on the A537, which leads through Knutsford and onto Macc.

When you get to Knutsford from this way, it's right at the roundabout, opposite a Bentley/RR?? dealer. Remember to filter left at the next major set of lights, jsut after the shell garage, and then you go down hill, bend to the right, and take the right hand lane at the next set of lights onto Macc. This is the place were people tend to get lost.

About half way along this route is a Shell garage at Chelford, where I normally fill up as I need V-Power as my car is mapped on that. Should we schedule in a quick stop at this place for everyone who needs to fill up?

You just follow the A537 to Macc, and keep on this road until it his the A523 main DC roundabout. Tesco is either straight over this roundabout, or left onto DC and then rgith at next roundabout, it should be obvious which is the car park entrance when wwe get there. :-)

Mmmm according to Tom Tom it will take 48 mins from mascrat to Tesco (Yes I do realise this is understated slightly) but if you are planning a fuel stop may be an idea to meet & set off around 1015 ?

I don't think it's ever taken that long, and I often have the little one in the back so I'm driving briskly but safely, but we could get stuck behind something etc.

I think you're right though, if we meet at 10 for a 10:15 depart it leaves time for a quick petrol stop and it doesn't matter if we get there a little early.

Identity_Crisis, is it worth updating who is meeting at each pick up point on the first post so there's one point of reference and we know who to meet and wait for etc as this being the first one there will be a fair few of us not having met before? Obviously I'll be at Mascrat.

Cheers.

ill give you a lift phil if you want and im sure you will be able to bag a couple of passenger rides.

so mascrat manor at 10-10:15am. ill add this too the first post.

pre run was done today and the route is finalised, its a pretty simple route to try and save people getting lost. unfortunetly theres no way we will all fit in the cat pub carpark so we will be stopping off at a pub along the route with a huge car park called the winker mans country pub. the second part of the run finish's at the cat and fiddle pub as i imagine a few people should have gone by then and the carpark shouldnt be as full.

ill be typing the route up tommorow and printing 50 copys off to hand out on the day.

lets just hope we get some decent weather.

Editted to say, the other half says Yes! So count me in.
Integra type r coming from St. Helens.
Now all I need is to meet up with someone coming from the local area so I make it to the meet. laugh

Meet us at Mascrat Manor. I'm coming from St Helens, near the M62 J7 at Rainhill. Pop on the M62, join M6 South at the interchange and after about 2 mins on the motorway leave at the first junction, think it's signposted A57 Irlam. At the end of a long slip road is a roundabout, take the last exit of it, which is a tiny road leading straight into the Mascrat Manor pub car park. I'm aiming for 10am.
