(Sorry for the very localised nature of this post but stupidity is only one councillor away from all of us)

What sort of stupid good for nothing moronic pillocks do we have working in the highways department of this town, are they completely devoid of intelligence? Broughton roundabout now must appear to be some sort Salvador Dali picture from space because the lines they have painted on it viewed from car just serve to congest and confuse normal traffic trying to go about its business. It really is a a monument to stupidity a roundabout that is self blocking so no one can get on or off it. Just great!!!!!!

Well at least I need not worry about my increased carbon footprint as it is totally council induced.

Like most new traffic schemes which seem to be devised by a 3 year old. I just wonder how many town/traffic planners actually drive on a regular basis. Other examples in this locality suggest not. rolleyes

It is now on its second line change this week, yesterday no one could get off the motorways
and leaving the A6 from the north was almost impossible as the traffic backed up from
Blackpool,so last night they burnt off some of the lines they had painted but still left enough so that this morning it was grid lock from the north to the Broughton cross roads and to Blackpool road in the south. I was told by the guy responsible that it was all working fine on Monday afternoon! OF COURSE IT WAS YOU DIPSTICK THERE IS NO TRAFFIC ON A MONDAY AFTERNOON banghead

Who puts these people in charge of these thingsranting.....and calm

Well, this morning they have burnt off another load of lines that they painted at
the weekend, only a few more to go and we will be back to normal. The lights are still working but sequences have been changed.

It would not be so bad but it is our money they are wasting.

I live in Fulwood and I couldn't agree more. There has been an improvement i.e.people now using the outside lane Broughton side but apart from that can't see any benefit. They would have been beeter spending the money on filling in all the holes in the road along the A6!
