Unmarked BiB Spotted ?
Discussion
Be careful around Hale/Altrincham!! I went to a Dougie James and Soul Train/Yesterdays reunion at Hogans in Hale on Monday night. I left around 11.45, and as I drove across the car park, a plain black, unmarked 3 series followed me out, waited until I had travelled, 20 or 30 yards, and then the blue lights came on. He announced that they were having a drink/driving campaign, but much to his disappointment, he had to return to the car park and repeat his skilful public relations!!!
Saw some undies in a unmarked silver X5 heading out of middlewich towards M6.
I think it was on a DK63 plate. 100% of it being 63 didn't catch the full reg.
Also noticed for anyone passing into or out of middlewich area they had a hell of a lot of police out there covering anyway in or out of the area in the sandbach, northwich, winsford, crewe and back out to m6 roads all covered with police, with little cone sections pulling drivers in. Perhaps a xmas drink drive crackdown?
They were just over a brow of a hill wouldn't want anyone caught out by them (speedwise, if your drinking you deserve it)

2 Silver 63 Plate X5's parked together at Chester Hapsford Services. Both completely different number plates but both had blacked out rear windows.

I’m sorry I didn’t get the plate, but there’s a black 5 series (and not the latest shape either, it's mid-late 2000’s? sorry I can’t be more specific), tiny alloys, debadged, single occupant, totally unobvious, on the M56 around Altrincham/Warrington sort of area. It’s a 535d. I know this because I had the pleasure of talking to the pilot this morning.
Edit – prob better to leave out some details as it’s an automatic summons

As a rule (obviously there are exceptions) but around me (warrington) the reg plates usually go as follows for unmarked police cars;
Cheshire - DK
Merseyside - PO
GMP - MX
There are obviously some curve balls but thats the usual trend.
Hope this can help somehow.

Didn't get the reg, but saw a white Evoque with blue lights flashing this morning in Clitheroe.
I saw one in Manchester, thought it was the law but it was actually a doctor in an unmarked evoque with concealed blue lights. Thought it was a bit strange?They were also taken to court at the back end of last year (for illegal blue lights) and the court threw the case out so expect to see more in the Manchester area.
