Unmarked BiB Spotted ?
Discussion
Dark coloured, possibly grey (it was dark when I saw it) BMW X5 NC12 DPE. Approaching the junction of Great Howard St and Leeds St in Liverpool last night from Bootle, I was making progress having noticed that the usual speed trap by the car wash/BMW dealer wasn't there when I caught up to it and spotted the ANPR in the back window. He turned left on to Leeds street and I slowed down and continued along the water front.

Using white unmarked cars again?! Isn't that cheating!?!I remember when all GMP's unmarked police cars were exactly the same as their jam butty cars, white but sans stickers and roof lights - their registration marks were usually just one digit different too.
I mentioned a black unmarked BMW 5 series earlier in the thread. I got pulled by it at the end of last year on the M56 between Altrincham and Warrington. I now know for certain it’s a 530d (not 535 as I thought) and the plate is DK59BLZ. I was in court today and I’ve been banned for 28 days.

What speed did they catch you doing?Bubba Zanetti said:

110mph but there’s a bit of a story to it. Hopefully this doesn’t sound too bad, there was never any question of dangerous/careless and the pc told me he had no problem at all with my standard of driving (apart from the speed obviously!). The unmarked pc was alleging that his speed “was never less than 130mph” and that he never gained on me. However, he didn’t get a VASCAR reading that could be used as evidence against me. (because I accelerated and slowed down in such a short distance taking advantage of a clear road ahead for literally seconds) All he had was what he saw briefly on his own speedometer when he was trying to close the gap to me. So my solicitor put it to the prosecutor that he had only seen 130mph+ when he was chasing to close the gap to me, and that I wasn’t actually doing that speed, only he was....so lets make a deal that I was doing 110mph, as that’s the highest speed they can deal with at magistrates court still remaining within normal sentencing guidelines (or something like that!). So because they didn’t have an accurate speed recording, the prosecutor accepted the deal and the case was presented to the court at 110mph. I was happy to take the 28 days.Gassing Station | North West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
