The roads around Mawdesley have never been great, but they are little more than dirt tracks now. Understandably backwaters like this are the last place the council spends money on.
If you think Mawdesley is "lovely" then clearly your perception of reality is dangerously distorted and you probably shouldn't be out driving anyway. I'm just so sorry that you've had to waste so much of your life in such a hole.

I used to charge all over those roads on my 125cc bike as a youth, and they *were* great back then. I've been up to Parbold area in the past year and I will happily agree, they are the worst condition roads I have come across in this country, an absolute disgrace now. I live in Cheshire btw, have done for sixteen years now, the roads are far better. I actually use the Warrington>Whitchurch section of the A49 a lot as it can be fun when its clear. Do be wary of the two new Gatso in the Beeston area though.
I don't know how you managed to "charge all over these roads" unless you are talking about some time in the 1950's or 60's. For the last 30 years no one under the age of 60 has ever lived in Mawdesley. Gassing Station | North West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
