Well as unlikely as it may seem I just hope they'll cope without your valued custom.
You make it sound like I don't want to own a Ferrari? It's only modern ones that I can't stand. 355 and previous are fantastic. The Testarossa is one of my all time favourite cars, would love to own one. The new ones just don't seem special at all. And are horrifically ugly.

It just seems like a massive overreaction to 'hate ' a car as exotic as a donkey.I don't particularly like Spykers but I don't hate them.
I never said hate. I just really, really dislike them. I tried an F430 and F360 before I settled on Aston, and they didn't feel special to me at all. They didn't live up to my childhood dreams of Testarossas and 348s. Modern ones are just a massive let down for me, and the styling? The less said about that the better.

I don't believe you.why would you test drive a car you dislike visually so much ? I've had adb7, v8vantage and spent a fair bit of time in a db9. All great cars in different ways.I personally spent the most time with thI tried an F430 and F360 before I settled on Aston, and they didn't feel special to me at all. the vantage as it was the shortest wheelbase proper sports car but I fully Appreciated the other two for what they were.and then I test drove my first of two f430's I've since owned.the feedback , pinpoint steering , agility and outright speed coupled with such delicate poise make it the finest drivers car I've ever driven .and I've bad my share of exotic metal.if you have driven one and disliked it so much you o obviously aren't a car man at all.more likely , I'd suggest , is that you don't like the look of them and so didn't bother driving one

Nope, when I was looking at upgrading my SL350 I didn't know what to get. Had a budget of £70k but could go to £95k at a push. I don't mind the looks of the 360 or 430, only this current generation of Ferraris I really dislike. The FF, F12B, 458, California... Not a looker between them. The 430 styling is just a bit bland, can't dislike it, can't say I love it.the vantage as it was the shortest wheelbase proper sports car but I fully Appreciated the other two for what they were.and then I test drove my first of two f430's I've since owned.the feedback , pinpoint steering , agility and outright speed coupled with such delicate poise make it the finest drivers car I've ever driven .and I've bad my share of exotic metal.if you have driven one and disliked it so much you o obviously aren't a car man at all.more likely , I'd suggest , is that you don't like the look of them and so didn't bother driving one
It was faster than the DB9 by a fair margin, but as I said before, it didn't feel special. Take starting the car for an example. The ECU in the Aston is brilliant for that, one of my favourite things about the car. The key for the Ferrari is truly awful! I didn't like the bits of carbon everywhere, I didn't like the steering wheel that was covered in buttons, it was just little things that added up for the car doing nothing for me.
I did love the F1 gearbox though, that was brilliant. Made the car really easy to drive though, which I suspect is why it didn't live up to my expectations of 80s Ferraris.
Funny how I still smile thinking about a ride in a F430 I had in 2008, sure as hell felt very special to me. Yet George can drive one and it apparently doesn't feel special at all, I suppose we're all different.
I'm interested to know though if it's too easy to drive why don't you use the little switch on the steering wheel and turn all the driver aids off? Surely that's more interesting?

You wanted a more involving drive ??? So bought a boulevard cruiser ? Hey , whatever floats your boat fella but your reasoning doesn't make a whole load of sense.as I said before , nowt wrong with a db9.I love them.but they are very definitely big gt's that are incredibly 'easy ' to drive.

I'd want a more involving drive from a sports car, yes. The DB9 I didn't buy for it's driving capabilities. What sold it to me was the beautiful looks and the fantastic noise to be honest That is one area Ferrari don't even come close in imo. Like I said before, it's the little things that let the Ferrari down for me. The Gallardo was miles better imo.So.......the 4wheel drive Gallardo was a more involving drive ?? It certainly wasn't when I drove one.nowhere near as involving in fact.I really don't know what cars you have or in fact haven't been driving because your feedback makes a absolutely no sense.whatever fella , enjoy your 9 , they are lovely things
Well.....I'm calling bullst again fella.up thread your comments were all about e everything post 355 was where the wheels came off then this morning it transpires that the 360/430 are ok but bland.your comments just don 't seem to be consistent.your reasoning smacks of someone who reads a lot of other people's opinion ions and forms their opinions on the back of that.Aston make a glorious noise.I know that because I owned a drove a few over a 4 year period.430's make an absolutely incredible scream once those valves open up.but you'd know that if you really had spent any time in one.curious you didnr respond to Cie560.if the car wasn't man enough fir you why not just turn the switch to the position that says race or even cst with a line through it ?? If you don't know what I'm talking about Google it

Why would I lie? I test drove one, didn't like it. Yes I could put it into race mode and it would be more exiting to drive. Then the suspension is too firm imo and the ride is borderline unbearable on anything other than silky smooth tarmac (which the roads round near me are far from). Noise is subjective. I don't like screaming engines, I like low, grumbly engines. TVR, Aston, AMG Mercs etc. Edited by tuscaneer on Saturday 3rd November 12:12
My comments regarding looks were that the 355 was perfection. The 360 and 430 were just the decline into the awful styling of todays Ferraris. They aren't particularly good looking, and I can't say they've aged very well. They're bearable, that's it. Don't dislike them to the same extent as the 458, but don't like them either.
Call bullst if you want, I really dont care. I'll try to dig out the pics of it.
Why would you lie ? To appear more knowledgeable than you are ? To try and justify previous comments ? I don't know and really am not too bothered fella.I wish I hadn't become embroiled in this now as I'm sure it's getting as tedious for others as it is me.good luck and happy motoring
