Huge blue Bentley Brooklands pulled out from a small street in Audenshaw this afternoon, looked very out of place but lovely.

Looked as long as a boat.

I saw this M4 on Friday in Warrington, this is the only one I've seen on the road so far so I don't know if that's just me being unlucky or there aren't many about (yet)

Am I the only one who thinks that just looks like a 2.0 diesel M sport? Not sure I'd look twice if it wasn't for the fancy paint.

I was thinking along similar lines, very subtle. Although it does look better in the flesh than my pics suggest. That red one is more like it, maybe needs a strong colour for it to stand out? The white one had a great looking black and white interior.

There was a black 64-plate M4 parked behind me in Nantwich the other weekend, I hadn't realised they were that rare but I don't know much about BMWs.

don't get me wrong i don't think it looks bad... it's just not as obviously an M car as with previous generations. A lot of the styling cues are a touch fiddly for me, and they exist on all the series so maybe i am just being distracted by those.

In Ashton near the Snipe Retail Park, a white Mercedes SL with a dodgy body kit trying to be an SL65 Black Series. Looked nasty.

First i8 I've seen on the road, M60 yesterday. Thought the wheels look very narrow for a 'super car', even if it is electric?(Photo taken by my son)

A 911 turbo (?), white with black wheels, 997 I think. This morning around 9:30 on the A557 near Widnes. I’d love to know more about it if anyone knows it.

Might take a punt and see if that's still there around 8:30.

i started a discussion recently about BMW needing a supercar in their line-up, and many people came back to say that they do now, and it's the i8. I countered that the 6-figure price-tag is largely down to the tech rather than the whole proposition, and whilst the i8 is a novelty on the roads currently, that will wear off with time and people will realise it's not really a supercar like a ferrari, lambo, R8 (debateable in some guises). Looking at that photo, I think I was right. Modern design features yes, but it's basically just an electric hatchback. Still a good spot though as they're hardly commonplace.

This could be the one that was (is?) sat in the Williams Manchester showroom

Definitely not a supercar...

This sounded good as it came past. Not terribly unusual for those of you in civilisation I guess.

Spotted a black Jag F-Type (convertible model) parked up outside the Kwik Fit garage beside the railway bridge at Saddle Junct in Wigan this morning around 11:50-ish. Very surprised to see something like that around those parts; first F-Type I've seen in Wigan. Anyone on here?

Also spotted a classic saloon of some kind (had an unusual pink/silver colour scheme to it which made it stand out like a sore thumb), not sure exactly but my guess would be a Vauxhall, either a Velox or Cresta. Likely a very rsre classic. Had a distinctive 'pointed' rear to it like a 50s yank classic.

The new M5 is the same. Very subtle - most people do not know what it is until it goes by.

i tend to think that maybe they should also put the M5 (and M3) engine into a normal looking variant, for the Q-car crowd/sleeper crowd, then maybe make the M-cars a bit more distinctive. At least then there would be a choice of reserved or lairy. Did they not do an E60 with the 5.0 V10 from the M5?
