Thanks for the concern.

I know what you mean - hence my visit on Saturday.

Basically, we're going parked very close together but segragated a little bit.

There are 2 car parks, one will take 40 or so cars, the other 50 ish.

Then there are a number of concrete hardstandings around the edge of the car park that we can use, each taking 4 cars. 11 bases in total, so 44 cars.

Then there's a long narrow pitch slightly away that will take round 22 cars.

Plus, a track where we can park up.

I've told the host we will be bringing around 150 cars and he's fine with it.

Using my own measurements at the weekend, i reckon 155 max.

If we're over, so be it - i think there's room elsewhere on the site - maybe not tightly together with the masses but it will be fine.

Guys - please don't let me saying that we've got 4 or so different areas to park in, plus the use of caravan bases (!!) put you off - i've been up there and have seen it and i'm happy that it's 1, close enough so that we can all see what's happening at any one time, and 2, up to the job.

I will pop a bit of an aerial pic up before the big day to show you all.

I'm still promoting it a bit where i can anyway, so as long as we don't go a long way over 150 cars, im not worried.

Are there any convoys arranged?

I'll be up there early doors to make sure all's set so i'm not involved but expect some might be meeting.

Lancaster (M6 Forton) services from the North maybe, M6 Charnock Richard from the South, and Blackburn M65 services from East Lancs and Yorkshire maybe?

Also, what would your thoughts be on the following:

A) Bit of gun-slinging? They do this as it's a themed site - happy to do it for us but needs a bit of warning so he can get the kit ready. It's a duel where the fastest trigger finger wins a grand prize, the title/honour of being just that! Anyone??

B) After the event, a drive up to and through Blackpool? Out of the site, right towards Lytham, past the Windmill and up to Starr Gate, then up the Prom to Fleetwood to all go our separate ways maybe?

Let me know and i'll see what i can sort re A.

B - we can sort on the day - it may be that folks want to split off into smaller groups and do their own thing / grab lunch somewhere / head to the Lake District / Trough of Bowland etc etc.

Just a quick note - the Blackpool Road, between Preston and Warton, will be closed near the Lea Gate Pub from the night of 26th Feb until the morning of the 1st March while they knock down a bridge. There is no other easy way around from Preston. Diversions will apparently be posted.

Burton in kendal is northbound only , so i guess its forton or crooklands just off J36 if you fancy meeting a bit further north?

Gates open at 8:30 so say 7:30 in crooklands or 7:50 at forton.

My sat nav took me from where i live down the M55 to Kirkham and that way through.
