IT Project manager, consultant. Look after data centres.
How big is yours?

Just delivered the stage E design for a true TIER 4, 6MW (IT load), free cooled data centre.
Can't say where, or who for, although no doubt the word is out.
Construction starts next month.

Now back to the day job.

Which steelwork fabricator do you work for Ian?

I mainly detail reinforced concrete in the civils side of construction now, but spent 20 years doing commercial buidlings/projects previous to that.

I'm a headhunter that recruits senior technical/commercial and board-level talent for renewable energy and cleantech companies operating across Europe.

Much more exciting than my previous role with a large aerospace company as an engineer designing fighter jets believe it or not...

I used to work for a manufacturing company in a marketing, but mainly new product development role, taking sometimes off the wall ideas through design, costing, factory sourcing in China, right through to market. Also schlepping out to China every five or six weeks - bloody loved it, my dream job.

Shame the company was my ex-wife's family business irked

Now I am back to what I have spent over twenty years doing, producing pretty adverts for newspapers and TV, although this time it is a lot more involved with the Client positioning side.

I do miss China though.
