Hi all,

We are putting on an event in Sheffield city centre on 29th July. This is a charity event, to raise money for Bluebell Wood childeren's hospice.

The event will start at 10am with 50 Supercars doing a short convoy parade through the city centre, before parking up until 2pm giving you the chance see the cars up close. Cars confirmed include Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserari, Lotus, Porsche etc so there will be some nice eye candy on display. JCT600 are sponsoring the event and will be bringing a range of the latest cars too!

There will also be a Passenger experience available, subject to donation to the charity, where the owners will take you for a ride in their car.

Hope this is something of interest to you, all in aid of a great cause. The full details can be found at www.supercarsinthecity.com. There is no entrance fee - its in the heart of the city centre.

All money raised will be going to a fantastic cause! biggrin

Cheers!

Paul.

Hi all,

The parking plan is in the process of being finalised, and we can confirm there will be displays in the Barkers Pool area, and Tudor Square.

Barkers pool will feature some of the very latest exotica from Ferrari, Lotus, Porsche, Aston-Martin and Bentley contrasting with some classic rally legends and luxury speed machines from BMW and Mercedes.

Tudor Square is where you will find a lineup of Ferrari's from old to new, a host of Porsche 911's , McLaren's, and a range of other Italian (and miscellanous!) exotica.

At the top of Tudor sqaure you will find Supercar Experiences, who will be able to give you information on their range of on-the-road driving experiences in a number of different Supercars.

To the bottom of Tudor square, next to the crubile will be our Dream Rides, providing passenger ride experiences in aid of BlueBell Wood childrens hospice. There will be 15 cars to choose from - from Classic to modern to mental, so there should be something for everyone to enjoy!

The convoy route will be published soon if you want to see/hear/take photos or video the cars on the roads!

This was great. Some absolutely brilliant cars there!

Had a passenger ride in a Lambo Superleggera, it was amazing. Never felt acceleration like it. Looked & sounded unreal too. Made me feel like a little kid haha. Top bloke who owned it as well.

Some pics of it:

Ive got loads more. I'll create an album of them later to share.

We came over to your side of the hills for this. What a great day it was too.wijit junior had a ride in the Murci and an early ride in the Marcos, although he did want another ride in the Superleggera he was gutted that time caught up with us and the day was over so fast. You can see my son and I chatting with Steve in the second picture, he is indeed a great bloke, very nice couple him and his wife. Very friendly.
I hope you raised a good sum for the Hospice.

Yep. (again) Libby is a lovely lady.

Glad Jnr. had a top day.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice is our chosen charity, this is our third event so far this year to help raise money for them. Sporting Bears (who were part of the fundraising team today) do an amazing job too.

Not sure of the final amount, we will get to know tomorrow but it was well into the thousands thanks to you guys. thumbup

I think these events are very much a team effort. Without the cars you wouldn't have passengers, without the passengers you don't raise as much money....etc (chicken and egg).
But the whole event was great, some of the cars on display were just amazing to see. The Quattro, Jag...the list is long!
